Eragon - Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

This is the fourth and last novel in the Eragon series. It begins with a battle, as the Varden, rebels against the evil king Galbatorix, fight to capture a city. Eragon, along with his dragon Saphira, fights where there is the most resistance. The Varden need to capture every major city in Alagaesia, so that they wouldn't come after them when they would attack Uru'baen, the capital of Alagaesia, and also king Galbatorix's habitat. 

When the Varden have nearly captured the city, Eragon sees a wall collapse onto Roran, his cousin. Eragon and Saphira rush to help him, but it is too late: the heavy wall has already done it's work. But, on the positive side, the wall has given Eragon a way in the castle of the Lord of the city. After he kills all the guards, he hands over the king to a pack of werecats, who helped the Varden capture the city. 

Then he tries to find Roran. Eventually, with the help of Saphira and several werecats, he manages to lift away the heavy stones and free Roran.

Then the Varden continue their arduous journey towards Uru'baen. Along the way, the people of Surda and their king Orrin join them as backups.

The Greek Gods - Poseidon by Evslin, Evslin & Hoopes

This is a story about the mighty sea god Poseidon. In the myth, he, Zeus and Hades threw dice to decide who would get what. Zeus took the sky for himself. Poseidon smile, he knew that Poseidon had only chosen this because it was so far up. Poseidon chose the sea, he knew that there would be lots more adventures waiting down there. Hades usually had bad luck, so he got the underworld. The land was left to the humans. But Poseidon thought that he needed a queen, and chose Thetis, a beautiful Nereid. In a prophecy, Poseidon heard that the son Thetis would bear would be greater than his father, so Poseidon took another Nereid, this one by the name of Amphitrite. But like Zeus, Poseidon had lots of kids in other places, making Amphitrite really jealous. In a myth, Poseidon had taken a liking to Demeter, the goddess of agriculture. He tried to impress her, but she didn't let herself be impressed easily! She said "You have made many sea animals, now make me a land one, but it has to be so beautiful that I have never seen aything like it." So Poseidon created the horse, and when Demeter saw it, she gasped in astonishment; it was true, she had never seen anything like it. But Poseidon got so carried away by the beautifulness of his creation that he left Demeter and set about creating a huge herd of the horses. He later created some green ones for his undersea stables, but Demeter kept the original ones, and this is how all horses were created.

The Greek Gods - Athena by Evslin, Evslin & Hoopes

In this story, they tell about a few myths of Athena. One is the myth of how she was born. In the myth, Zeus once saw a beautiful lady in his garden, a titaness by the name of Metis. He went after her, but couldn't catch her. The second time she appeared in his garden, she did not run away, and when Zeus reached her, he swallowed her whole. A few days later, Zeus had a terrible headache, so strong that no human or god had ever experienced. He yelled for Hephaestus, and when Hephaestus came, Zeus laid his head on the anvil. Hephaestus took his hammer and split Zeus's skull. Then he jumped backwards, afraid of what would come out. What did come out was a tall woman, with grey eyes and in full battle armor. This was the goddess Athena.

The Greek Gods - Hera by Evslin, Evslin & Hoopes

In this myth, Zeus's wife, Hera, persuades the other gods to plot against Zeus. Hera put a drug in his drink, and when Zeus fell asleep, the other gods tied him to his bed. Zeus woke up and swore to take revenge, but the others had stolen his lightning bolt, so he could not free himself. But Briareus, the Hundred-handed gardener, heard the racket and went to see what had happened. He freed Zeus, and he took his thunderbolt. The other gods fell to the ground, pleading for mercy. But Zeus took hera and hung her from the sky by golden chains.

Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer

The second book in the Artemis Fowl series, and packed with adventure and action like the first one. Artemis Fowl's father has disappeared in the Arctic circle, because the Russian Mafia had sunk his ship in the Kola bay, along with 250,000 cans of coke. Artemis Fowl senior was planning to make a fortune in selling coke, which the Mafia didn't want. So they sunk his ship and captured him. The Mafia had sent Artemis the bait video, then, after a few days, the ransom demand. They then moved Artemis Fowl senior to the drop point, a highly radiation poisoned area, where they were supposed to give over the hostage and collect the money.

But Artemis Fowl the second knew it wasn't going to be that easy. “The Mafia is smart, so we must be smarter,” he had told Butler, his bodyguard, and Holly, his elfin friend. But underground, in the elf city of Haven, the goblins have started a rebellion, blowing up LEP (Lower Elements Police) buildings and strongholds.

Worse still, some human contact above ground has been supplying the goblins with AAA batteries for their Softnose laser guns. Just imagine: the stupidest creatures above and below ground, armed with supposedly outlawed laser weapons.

Of course, Butler easily finds the human contact, a not very successful Private Eye named Luc Carrère, living in Paris in his cheap apartment. Luc nearly shot Butler, but Butler deflected the shot with a bulletproof vest.

Dove by Robin Lee Graham

But this quest turns out a lot more dangerous than Annabeth, Percy, Grover and Tyson think.

Inheritance - by Christopher Paolini

This is the fourth and last book in the Eragon series. It took Christopher Paolini 12 years to write it, and it just came out in November 2011. It begins with a battle at some city. The Varden are protesting against the evil king Galbatorix's way of ruling. One night, the Varden leader Nasuada gets kidnapped by Galbatorix's servant, Murtagh, and his dragon Thorn.Nasuada gets taken to Uru'baen, the city where Galbatorix lives, and Galbatorix tortures her. Now Eragon has not only to kill Galbatorix, but he also has to save Nasuada. Luckily, the elves Blodhgarm, Arya and ten others agree to help. But the great dragon Shruikan makes numerous attempts to kill them, and so slows them considerably. After many captured cities, and many killings, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira finally reach the capital, Uru'baen. And the great battle commences...
