It's Artemis Fowl's 5th adventure! The criminal genius is waiting to intercept a demon in the city of Barcelona. When the demon actually appears, Artemis grabs hold of it and gets dragged into the twentieth century through a mysterious time tunnel. Butler, his bodyguard, manages to hold on to Artemis's shoulder. Because Butler has a silver bracelet, he can pull Artemis back into the present time.
When Artemis finds out that another child genius, this one a girl named Minerva, is planning to actually capture a demon and win a Nobel Prize for a presentation about the existence of another species, he needs to do everything in his power to save the demons and their island of Hybras from the disintegrating time spell. Can he stop Minerva from exterminating an entire species just for a Nobel Prize?
